This book gives a three-week plan that aims to have all Year 1 students developing a reliable and deep understanding of place value to 100. The minimum expectations for Year 1 students are described in the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics (Achievement Standards) and provide the focus for this book.
By the end of Year 1, students describe number sequences resulting from skip counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. They count to 100 and locate numbers on a number line. They partition numbers using place value.
