About A day of Problem Solving (2nd Oct 2018):
During this day of hands on problem solving participants will engage in a variety of problem types and explore the potential of each. There are many types of problems to consider, for example:
- word problems
- problematized situations
- multi-step problems
- open-ended problems
- recreational or puzzle type problems
- rich tasks
During the day participants will work through:
- the STAR model (a free copy of support materials will be unlocked for participants)
- methods of representation
- differentiation from entry level to the top 25%
- explicit problem solving strategies (hands on, visual, movement, abstract)
- reasoning and deep understanding are the Punic goals.
This is a brand new workshop with Ann so book early.
